Cookie Policy

Last updated: 1 October 2026

This explains how the GROW website (grow-app.co.uk) uses cookies and similar technologies. It works alongside our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by websites you visit. They're widely used to make sites work and to remember preferences.

What we use

Our website is intentionally lightweight. The cookies and technologies we need to run it are strictly necessary ones (for example, our host Cloudflare may set an essential security cookie). We also use two analytics tools, but only if you allow them. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share your data with advertisers.

TypePurposeConsent needed?
Strictly necessaryCore functionality, security and load-balancing (e.g. Cloudflare). No: exempt under the law
Analytics: Google Analytics 4Counts visits and shows which guides people read, so we know what is worth writing. Sets cookies named _ga and _ga_*, which last up to 2 years.Yes: only set if you allow them
Analytics: Microsoft ClarityShows how pages are used, including heatmaps and replays of how a page was scrolled and clicked. Sets cookies named _clck and _clsk, which last up to 1 year.Yes: only set if you allow them

Your choice, and how to change it

Nothing analytics-related loads until you say yes. Until you choose, neither tool is downloaded and no cookie from either is set. If you decline, nothing is set and we do not ask again on this device. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we treat that as a no and never ask.

You can change your mind at any time, and it is as easy to withdraw as it was to give:

What Microsoft Clarity records

Clarity is worth calling out separately, because it does more than count visits. It records how a page was used, which can be played back as an anonymous session replay: mouse movement, scrolling, clicks and taps. It is used to find confusing layouts and broken pages. It does not record passwords, and we do not use it on the account or checkout pages at all. If you would rather none of this happened, decline, and none of it does.

Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working.
